All it took was winning the local Color-the-Weather contest for seven-year old Diandra to realize that having an audience appreciate your work was almost better than ice cream. From then on there was always a crayon, pencil, marker or pen in her hand.

Nowadays Diandra works in gouache, with a little ink and color pencil thrown in for variety. Bright colors and energetic lines mark her work, making it a perfect fit for stationary, educational materials, trade books, and magazines for young children.
